The ultimate Twilight holiday!

Twilight

Twilight fan? Forget signing up to fan forums, decking out your room in Bella and Edward posters, or buying multiple copies of the book set (one for reading, one for storage, one in case the others are lost in a fire). Why not get closer to the characters you love so much by actually visiting Forks, Washington state?

You won't have the place to yourself, though. "Twilight tourism" has become an unexpected and rapidly growing phenomenon in Forks. The Peninsula Daily News reported a total of 16,186 people passed through the Forks Visitor Center in July — doubling June's number of 8702 — and in one month nearly reaching the entire year's total for 2008, 18,485 people.

And of course, some of the locals have been getting in on the act. There are loads of unofficial tours, and even a DIY travel guide to Forks, which lists "sights", such as a 1956 Chevy truck painted red by one of the town's enterprising residents and referred to as Bella's truck (although note: it's not actually from the movie).

But if you've come this far, you may as well go the whole hog with Intrepid Travel's Twilight Trails, which will take you to official film locations and the stunning landscapes featured in the movie. Kicking off in Portland, Oregon, and ending in Seattle, Washington, this 13-day adventure will see you strolling Cannon Beach (remember, where Jacob Black warns Bella about Edward and the Cullens), visiting the "Thunderbird and Whale" bookstore and hiking the trail where all those super-romantic forest scenes between Bella and Edward were shot. That piece of grass you're stepping on? Maybe Robert Pattinson once stepped there, too! (Or was it this piece of grass?)

Other highlights of this trip include St Helens, Hood River, Oxbow Park, View Point Inn (where the high school prom was held), the town of Forks including Forks High School, the Cullen and Swan family homes, Jacob Black's home in LaPush and Port Angeles. The trip is available from June to September 2010, from $2255 per person.

Of course, there's one thing missing in this picture. The stars! So if you really want to earn your fan-girl/boy stripes, we recommend you not only get on board the Twilight tour of film locations, but cap off your trip with a Twilight Convention at Sea cruise where you will actually get to hang out with some of the actors from the film. OMG!

Setting sail from Seattle on August 8, 2010, this eight-day Twilight Convention at Sea includes a Q&A session with Ashley Greene (who played Alice Cullen) and Michael Welch (Mike Newton), plus Alex Meraz from the upcoming Twilight sequel New Moon. (Sorry, no R-Pattz, but we're pretty sure Robert Pattinson would not have lasted five minutes on the cruise before being ripped to pieces by crazed Twi-fans!) There will also be a group photoshoot, autograph session and a costume ball.

This cruise doesn't come cheap. Prices vary, starting at $1160, not including the registration fees and taxes. But can you really put a price on your love for Bella and Edward? We didn't think so.

Settle down, there are no such things as vampires. Even if there was, "Edward" is in love with "Bella" not you. And "Jacob Black" is much sexier and playful. Who wants an abnormally white, cold and hard man who won't be able to kiss you. The things I would do to "Jacob Black" x
OMG!!!!!!!! I would LOVE to go on this trip, but I think I'll do the tour myself. I have just finished reading the series for the 10th time!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE TWILIGHT
I am somewhat of a twilight fan (on my 4th read of the series now). The movie on the other hand was ok, but it didn't stay true enough to the books. The one thing it did get right without question were the locations in which it shot the movie. Truly beautiful scenery and certainly something I would like to see in this lifetime.
I am a Twilight freak! I have read the books 4 times (and counting) and know everything there is to know about Twilight. Like I said I am a Twilight freak! I would LOVE to go on that holiday but I am only 12! And I carn't afford it (sad face)! TWILIGHT IS THE BEST THING EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! Ps. Oh and if you haven't read it I recemend reading The Host also by Stephanie Meyer, it does take a few chapters to get into it but once you are into it you carn't put it down (literaly)!
whoever would book that trip would be obsessed.Why?...because the only reason they want to go there is to breath air rob was once breathing and see areas where as some of the twilght members quote "not the best movie ever" was filmed. if you go to forks you should be going for the scenery and the fun. no wonder rob isn't going on that cruise his fans don't let him have a normal life..poor thing, and for all you girls who go running and screaming after him you have no chance of getting him and even if you did you ruin it by freaking out...but anyway thats just my opinion.
sounds cool enough, but whoo hoo for forks! i love washington state (been there before) its hardly ever hot. there are some really beautiful places! so if you have that kind of money i recommend you go for it!
I am a massive fan and it says that when you write in capital letter's im yelling but really it's me showing my effection. I LOVE TWLIGHT !!! I would love every chance i could have to do anything to do with twilight.
I am like a massive twilight fan i know everything there is to know about twilight i have basically everything you could think of to own. I would love this trip and everything. I would cry if i met rob and kristen. Even ashley or nikki jackson OMG i would just love to meet them and spend i while with them.
That sounds soooooooooooooo cool but some of it is the wrong location. Also I find it too much money. For teens and tweens how are they ment to get that much money? It's time to start saving money people!! But no matter what I'm going.
Oh. My. Edward! If I found one of the tress Edward and Bella climbed, I would scream, hug the tree and probably kiss it. And is I found a piece of grass R-Pattz stood on I would probably worship it... (It's a bit creepy, but I would.)
