There are some great online resources out there on Amsterdam. From quirky bits to basic info, we've got a roundup of websites you'll like.

Amsterdam Weekly

Amsterdam's free cultural English newspaper can be picked up at many locations in town, or downloaded from their website. Good for listings and events (only for that week) and wicked stories about Amsterdam characters.

Ticketmaster

This is the most efficient way to see which international act or DJ is in town, and it covers all the major venues. Tickets can most of the time be bought online and e-mailed. And it's in English, too!

Design.nl

News website for Dutch design and fashion in English, with a good design events calendar.

Pink Point

Gay and lesbian info kiosk at Westermarkt.

Bed and Breakfast

Dutch bed and breakfast website. It's very handy if you're travelling the rest of the country.

Super future

Cool maps of Amsterdam with shops, bars, cafes etc.

Dam Style

Photoblog of cool Amsterdam street fashion.

24 Oranges

Expat who comments (snidely) on the quirks of Dutch society and culture.

Dunglish

When English becomes bastardised in Dutch — hilarious.

Amsterdam Posters

Jarr Geerligs snaps street posters in Amsterdam every day.
