Outrigger Little Hastings Street Resort & Spa Noosa
I think they were getting paid by the word when they named it, but this new five-star resort in Noosa is very slick. Hidden among the trees on the hill above Hastings Street, next to the Noosa National Park, it has a range of self-contained accommodation, making it ideal for families or for friends travelling together. It has a restaurant if you don't want to self-cater, and it's only a short walk down the boardwalk to Hastings Street if you're looking for more dining options. The views are some of the best in Noosa, looking out over the bay and across to the North Shore.
Hyatt Regency Coolum

You don't have to play golf to stay at this upmarket golfing resort just outside Coolum. Along with a championship golf course, the Hyatt Coolum has a large spa facility, numerous dining venues and activities including tennis and art. Most people choose to get around the Hyatt Regency Coolum by bicycle, which adds to the holiday atmosphere.

Netanya Noosa Resort
If you're going to stay on Hastings Street, you might as well be right on the beach. The views from the low-rise Netanya Noosa Resort are sublime, taking in the beach and national park, and you can even see the sand from your deckchair by the pool. It is at the upper end of the price scale, but worth it.
Montville Country Cabins
You can put a coin in a slot to get 'rain' on the roof as you lie in bed and look out over a large lake in one of these quirky and cosy cabins just outside Montville. Every cabin at Montville Country Cabins is different and the property is an ideal place for a romantic break.
Novotel Twin Waters Resort
The beachside Novotel Twin Waters Resort is an old favourite with Aussie families and thanks to a multi-million dollar renovation it is looking new again. The prices are very reasonable and there is so much to do, you should be safe from hearing "I'm bored".
Beach Road Holiday Homes
These very luxurious new holiday homes are just the thing if you just want a relaxing holiday and aren't that fussed about being near restaurants or other facilities. Located on Noosa's North Shore, which is accessible by vehicle ferry from Tewantin, they're really well designed — and really big.
Element on Coolum Beach
Located on the main strip at Coolum Beach, the self-contained Element apartments simply speak beach holiday. Inside you will find white walls and modern finishes and outside you will find shops, cafes and everything else you might need within a short walk.
Mantra Sirocco, Mooloolaba
The Mooloolaba Esplanade is a favourite among Sunshine Coast visitors and this distinctive resort complex is right in the middle of the action. Every apartment in the Mantra Sirocco has views over the beach and you have the option of self-catering or choosing from the countless cafes and restaurants downstairs.
Rumba Beach Resort & Spa
This five-star resort on the Bulcock Beach Esplanade has set a new standard for Caloundra. It has apartment-style accommodation opposite the beach, or there's a pool if you can't be bothered crossing the road. There are several restaurants on the ground level, where you can sit and engage in some people-watching, and there's a cocktail bar by the pool (what more could you need??).
Dolphins Beach House
This Balinese-themed backpackers' hostel has a great location at Sunshine Beach, Noosa, and has accommodation ranging from dormitory rooms to two-bedroom apartments. The facilities are good, the prices are cheap and the no-party policy means it's suitable for all ages.
