From time to time, you can pick up some handy items on sale, but it's really a matter of being in the right place at the right time. I know I keep harping on about the great food in the Hunter Valley, but this butcher does some tender cuts of meat and interesting marinades for stir-fries and the like. He also makes award-winning sausages. Take the esky and stock up!

The name alone will be enough to get chocolate lovers salivating. But this place does provide something a little different from your usual run-of-the mill chocolate experience. The owners aren't afraid to experiment and I hear the chilli chocolate is one of their most popular offerings.

An inspirational homewares store. I can't help but dream about an endless budget when I visit this shop. You can find high quality luxurious goods for your bedroom, kitchen and bathroom; as well as some lovely gifts to take home for others (if you can bear to give them away.)
