Glenn Morrison is a journalist, author and musician living in Alice Springs, where, until 2009, he was editor of the local newspaper. Now he writes for anyone who will listen and his work has appeared in most major Australian newspapers as well as a bunch of magazines and websites.

Glenn has worked or played music across Australia and the South Pacific and has travelled widely in Europe, Ireland, Nepal, the US and in South America, as well as most places you might care to name in sunny Oz.

What's your favourite thing to do on a Sunday?

On Sundays he likes to hike sections of the Larapinta Trail, swim in a desert waterhole, or, if he is feeling particularly lazy that day, take in a nice leisurely brunch at one or other of the town's many cafes with a copy of the Weekend Australian and plenty of room to spread out. If he is not out and about he can be found at home cooking up a storm or working feverishly in his ever-expanding garden.

What's your idea of a good night out?

A good night out is dinner, lively conversation and a few songs with friends, catching some theatre or live music, or camped out in a swag under the big, wide starry skies of Central Australia.
