Where-the-halla is everyone? Walhalla is just a couple of hours' drive from Melbs, and well worth the distance. At its peak during the gold rush days the town was home to about 2,500 people. Between 1863 and 1900 nearly a billion US dollars worth of gold came out of Walhalla. But when the gold left town, so did the people. Today only 12 people call the place home year-round! That's not counting the 1,100 people in the cemetery ... spooky!

Soiling oneself on the Sunshine Coast

We're in the Sunshine Coast to spend the day with the sensational people at Murray Pike's Pineapple Farm. Did you know that quite often a green pineapple is actually ripe? The fruit actually ripens from the inside out, so don't judge a book by its colour when it comes to your family fruit bowl! Monster Skatepark This morning I let my inner hoon out (and relived some glory days from back in my youth) at Monster Skatepark. It's got more bells and whistles (and jumps, ramps and terrifying turns) than any other skate park in the Southern Hemisphere, and it's open during these school holidays.

I'm on fire! It's getting pretty hot up here on the Gold Coast! I'm up here at the Movie Stunt Experience where I've been flying off wires, jumping off platforms, finding myself engaged in fisticuffs with a Lara Croft look-a-like, and even being set on fire ...

The hard slog behind bars , Today we decided to check out the old Fremantle Prison here in Perth. The place was one of the roughest places to find yourself on the other side of the law. It operated as a prison for 140 years, and you might be surprised to find out that even when it closed down in 1991 inmates still didn't have toilet facilities! It was the bucket or bust!

Butching it up in Broome , This morning we decided to learn about the industry that really put Broome on the map — that's right, pearling. To do that we hitched a ride with the guys at Willie Creek Pearls to learn about the shiny little buggers.
