Carnival Cruise Lines and Jazz Cruises have partnered-up to offer the first authentic, fully licensed Elvis tribute cruise which celebrates the life and the music of the King. Taking place over four days, the virtual floating Graceland features visits to ports of call in Mexico and includes tributes to Elvis' most popular performances. It also gives guests the chance to take part in an Elvis tribute contest and features Q&A sessions with more than 20 artists and performers who worked with Elvis over the years.
As the ship sets sail for the beautiful Caribbean, you'll have the opportunity to catch up on all the daytime TV drama at a special meet and greet session with the stars where can even have a professional photograph taken with them. Other activities with the stars include a cocktail party and a soap trivia game.
During the days when the ship is at sea, guest will be instructed in the finer art of the needles with a number of knitting workshops on technique. There are also two cocktail parties-cum-yarn sales.
For two groovy nights as you cruise from Newcastle, England, to Amsterdam and you can boogie on down and sing your hearts out to top tribute band, Counterfeit ABBA, order a selection of retro cocktails or strut your stuff at the dance competition. With plenty of themed entertainment available you're bound to be singing 'Mama Mia!'
Check their site for ABBA-availability (they also run other 'themed' cruises throughout the year).
